A little History.

When I was about six years old, my source of inspiration and love of characters came from one place - the comics. I can still remember sneaking into my older brothers' room and taking their colored pencils and stack of comics and I would practice drawing all of the characters.

I would read Mad Magazines all night and absorb the little side cartoon doodles created by Sergio Aragones. I loved reading Garfield, Beetle Bailey and just devoured Archie Comics, especially the Betty and Veronica Series. The world of comics became my sanctuary and when I draw, I'm in my element, and anything is possible. I look back and remember that little girl who always knew she would become an illustrator.

I cannot remember a time when I didn't love to draw and that love continues to this day. I earned a degree in Studio Arts from George Mason University, and when I graduated, I started a new chapter in life as a graphic designer. With patience, perseverance, and an inexhaustible dedication to my craft, I developed my own style.

Over the years, I became involved in a range of projects including Print, Web and User Interface Design and from doing corporate to freelance work, I grew as an artist professionally and personally. However, I look to my first love - traditional illustration - to inspire and convey hope to children and take them to the world I know all too well. Come and say hello!

To my nephew, Kevin - You are my inspiration.

To my big brother, Chuck - I will always make you proud.
